Sequoia National Park is located in central California and, as its name suggests, it’s famous for its gigantic and spectacular sequoias. These
trees play a crucial role in the ecosystem of the western US: they need fire to reproduce (read more about this fascinating relationship on NPS website
https://www.nps.gov/seki/learn/nature/giant-sequoias-and-fire.htm). However, the park offers much more than just sequoias. It also features a waterfall
(the Tokopah Falls), a prominent granite dome (Moro Rock) from which you can enjoy panoramic views of the park, and rich variety of wildlife.
Culinary suggestion: I haven’t tried the restaurants which are in the park. But if you bring food with you along the trails, remember
that is already bear country and take the necessary precautions.
